Resident Construction Manager – Ref: 85687-8 – Enshrine JOBS South Africa

This vacancy is for a Construction Manager to assume responsibility for all aspects of Construction Management for a large Site in Lesotho.

Position Details/Job Description:

Management Responsibility:

• Ensure that erection is executed timeously and complies with Project plan.
• Maintain good public, Client and Subcontractors relations on site.
• Responsible for general safety, security and environmental management on Site.
• Supervise all Site (ADP) personnel.
• Provide support to the commissioning operations.
• Act as Responsible Person in terms of the Act (OHS Act and Mines Health and Safety Act).
• Ensure that Industrial Relations are managed in accordance with Project Agreements.

Administrative Responsibilities:

• Responsible for monthly cost against budget and progress reports.
• Responsible for construction close out report.

Technical Responsibility:

• Ensure that erection activities comply with the Terms and Conditions of the Contract with the Client.
• Ensure that Construction Subcontracts are in accordance with 3.1 above, and manage Subcontractors on Site in accordance with same.
• Ensure that Quality Plan for Construction is implemented.
• Initiate, guide, review and approve schedules and estimates.
• Control all scope changes introduced to Site.
• Continually alert to means and methods by which operations of the Construction force can be improved and revision of the operating plan as applicable.
• Evaluate claims submitted by Subcontractors.
