- Manning the mine in accordance with all legal requirements.
- Ensuring that all production targets are achieved safely.

What are some of your greatest achievements (When and how have you saved your employers time, money and resources)?
- In 2007 I started a new mine near Thabazimbi. We were doing 4000 square meters in January and by November we were already doing 13000 square meters. The commitment of the team was excellent, especially since I was new as well. The rand-per-ton cost was reduced from R680 to R370 in nine months and the square meters per crew increased from 220 to 380 in nine months.
- We successfully completed the 10mill sinking project whereby a new decline shaft was sank during that time as well, without any injuries even though we had a lot of problems with the oxidised ground we were mining.

If you were to illuminate your skills and abilities along with your greater purpose and passions in life, how would you describe yourself?
- I am very passionate about mining and one fortunate thing about me is that I adapt quickly and I get along with all the stakeholders on any environment.
- I treat people with respect and care about their well being a lot.
- This gives me the advantage of being able to take a poor performing team and turn them into champions within three months.
What do you absolutely love doing?
Challenged and working with willing individuals even if they don’t have experience. They need to understand that safety comes first and there is no job that is so important that it cannot be done safely.
