And that is exactly what Caryn and the other Life Members of XL Results Foundation are doing every day of their lives - to make a difference to thsi world and to Leave a Legacy.

The XL Group was founded in 2001 by Roger Hamilton & Dave Rogers in Singapore to accelerate the growth of entrepreneurship and effective giving in Asia Pacific. “XL” stands for “Extraordinary Lives” – a life in which we maximise our power to create and our power to contribute.

The XL Results Foundation is the world’s leading entrepreneur and social entrepreneur network, with entrepreneurs in Australia, Belgium, Canada, China, Dubai, France, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Singapore, Slovakia, South Africa, Thailand, UK and US. The Results Foundation runs coaching accreditation, monthly networking and seminar events and a Life Membership program for entrepreneurs around the world. The Foundation also manages the XL Social Enterprise Accreditation program towards World Wide Wealth, with a calendar of over 2000 events in 2008.

The Results Foundation is closely aligned with XL 2020 Vision – the XL Vision to reach our Billion Dollar Challenge target by 2020, when it will have 25,000 companies participating in the XL Social Enterprise Accreditation Program (SEA), donating $100 million from $1 billion in profits each year to their nominated causes.

These ventures will range in form, industry, level of development, scope and potential.

Through a structured process, each of the 16 ventures will attract a team from the group of participants. You will be part of one of the ventures, and will have an overview of all 16.

Throughout the four days you will:

• Witness the different ventures as they develop new strategies, plans and partnerships
• Identify and find the resources and people needed for success
• Compete with the other teams in different scenarios
• Collaborate and partner with other teams when you least expect to
• Demonstrate your own value within your team, often in unexpected ways
• Experience many successes and failures, and the resulting change in team dynamics
• Witness what happens when a team and venture gets “In the flow”

By the end of the four days, the 16 ventures will have been voted down to the Top Four ventures; these will be tracked and supported by Roger Hamilton and the EBS Team over the course of the next twelve months.

On the first day, all participants will come to understand why their own venture was or was not selected. You will work over the four days on developing your understanding of VALUE:

In your venture, in your communication, and in yourself.

This personal development will happen in team exercises throughout the event, or with a partner, and independently. On the final day, all participants have the opportunity to re-pitch to the group their venture and the value they can provide others. Through this process, the transformation in your understanding of what creates attraction will become clear. By the end of the program, many ventures and teams will continue to be tracked alongside the Top Four ventures online and in issues of the XL Magazine. Whilst you may be actively involved in one or more of them, your learning will continue over the next twelve months as you see the different people you meet at the EBS progress.
